On February 27^th, 2018, the People's Committee of Krong Pac district held a ceremony to make an announcement of Ea Kuang Commune to be recognized as a new-style rural area. Attending the ceremony were Mr. Pham Minh Tan – Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hiep - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Hoai Duong - Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Deputy Head of the provincial Steering Committee on the National Target Programs; Mr. Nguyen Doan Viet - Deputy Director of Department of Home Affairs; representatives of departments and sectors. Leaders of Krong Pac district had the participation of Mr. Mai Dinh Tho - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee; Mr. Y Suon Byă - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of District People's Committee; Mr. Y Lai Byă - Vice Chairman of the District People's Council; Mr. Tran Quoc Vinh - Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee; Representatives of divisions, boards, unions of Krong Pac district; leaders of Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Committee of Fatherland Front, branches, unions and people of Ea Kuang commune.

           As of 2011, Ea Kuang commune just completed 08 criteria of the new-style rural area construction. However, Ea Kuang commune met all 19 criteria of new-style rural area building and was recognized as a new –style rural area by the Provincial People's Committee in 2017 thanks to the implementation of the national target program for 06 years and the attention of the provincial and district-level government along with effort of local people. In the process of implementing the new –style rural area construction program, Ea Kuang commune has mobilized over VND41 billion to build infrastructure, rural roads, irrigation works, cultural institutions, production development ..., of which the local people contributed more than VND9 billion. The local infrastructure has been constructed or upgraded to meet the production and living needs. 100% of inter-village roads have been asphalted and concreted. The irrigation system has been built in accordance with the plan aiming to serve more than 1,000 hectares of crops. Many production models of transformation of crops and animal structure have been put into practice and achieved highly economic efficiency. The average income per capita increased from VND21 million in 2011 to VND34 million in 2017. 90% of the labor force has regular jobs. 16 out of 16 villages have won cultural titles. The movement of culture, arts, and sports developed strongly. 100% of the residential area has a hall to serve for common activities of local people and ground to play sports. The poverty rate dropped to 3.83%. 06 schools of the commune meet national standards. 100% of households have access to clean water. The criteria of education, health, national defense and security have been satisfied

          Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Pham Minh Tan – Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and leaders of Krong Pac district acknowledged the efforts of the Party, Government and People of Ea Kuang commune. Meanwhile, he expressed his hope that Ea Kuang commune will continue to promote propaganda activities so that all people are aware of their role and responsibility to build and maintain the title of new-style area; to review and reorganize production activities in the direction of sustainability, focusing on developing the local strengths;  to consolidate the building of a clean and strong political system to ensure social security and social safety in order to maintain and improve the quality of a new –style rural commune.

         At the ceremony, the provincial People's Committee awarded the Certificate of Recognition on new-style rural area to Ea Kuang commune. On this occasion, 03 collectives and 08 individuals have been rewarded excellent achievements in the movement of building new-style rural area.
